Hotel Gasthof Zum Alten Brauhaus in Kurort Oberwiesenthal

Great location, just a couple of minutes to the slopes. Friendly stuff, parking available. Rooms are really spacious and clean. WiFi wasn’t so great though.

The first impression is probably not the best. It looks very dark and very simple. The food was really very good. The meat of the knuckle was very tender.

We took a break here. It was super cozy inside and the service was very friendly. Prices were also really okay.

I ate the best pork knuckle in my whole life. The price / performance ratio is also really perfect. And the service was very hospitable and arranged.

Review of the restaurant! Service was poor, reserved in advance but not registered. Service both very rude and grim looks! Food came quickly but carelessly. Ordered pasta for our child> canteen food is still praised. We had roulade with dumplings and potatoes> roulade was good, the rest came from the bucket> clearly too expensive. Finally not to be recommended, the good name is absolutely not used. But tourism usually comes to eat once and the shop continues to run!

I have stayed here several times. Great hotel, great restaurant with a great team. I have absolutely nothing to complain about.

A name with potential that is not being used. Expensive without enjoyment. It's a shame. A few streets further you can find significantly more quality for the same money.

The atmosphere was a bit gloomy and not really cozy, maybe it helps to let a little more light through the windows and to renew the room layout or the tables and chairs ... the food was very inferior for the price, I'm sorry about that too but since we got a lot better for the same money in town, I have to say that. Even the cucumber salad wasn't homemade. You could do more with the store. Kind regards

Good home cooking, friendly and quick service. When the weather is nice, sat on the bench with a beautiful view

Most of the food was ready-to-eat. Vegetables frozen goods. Too bad because the location of the restaurant is quite nice. The service staff, on the other hand, should think about how their snappy style is received by guests. We would not go there anymore.

Rating of the restaurant. Quite large but still cozy dining rooms with a friendly waiter. The food was very good and the waiting time was okay. The prices are also reasonable, if you go to a hotel you should of course not expect snack prices there. Everything perfect! Thank you!

Food was delicious (potato soup, trout, dumplings with mushrooms). But we would eat there again.

Why is our rating displayed again after 4 months? Were we the last guests? Beloved, your hotel ? was really cool ? and we will be back. That was not a threat, that was a promise. All the best for you all

We had a very nice double room with a view of the Fichtelberg and the train! Everything was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. In the evening we were in the restaurant "vault cellar"! Price and quality of the food are ok. Service very fast and friendly! We'll be back!

We had reserved for 20:00 clock in the vaulted restaurant. On arrival, it took quite a while for a waiter to notice us. He then informs us unequivocally that the kitchen closes at 20:30 and we should order quickly (mind you in the main season). The map is very manageable. Haxe was out, trout was unfortunately out, dumplings there were no more. Portions could be larger for a brewery. After a full day on the ski slope, I was still hungry after the main course. At 9:45 pm we received the bill unsolicited (presumably the staff wanted to finish work on time). The basement was rude and made service by regulation. Card payment was due to disconnections only at the bar possible. Drink prices I found overpriced (large coke € 4.30). We will not be back.

Quality and friendliness 5 star, but price is to high.

We were despite the bad reviews a week half board in the hotel to the old brewery and were pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms (we had a comfort room) as well as the bathroom were clean and room service worked well too. The breakfast was plentiful and varied and the dinner was also more than adequate and delicious. Parking is available directly at the house. So we were satisfied and enjoyed the rest very much and will maybe come back someday. We can only recommend this hotel.

Good and confortable

I was there only for lunch, which was moderate. Quite good Paulaner beer and the interior was nice and clean. But nothing to write home about. Service was ok.
